Our Story

In November 2007, a group of Christians began meeting in a café in St Davids. The group sought God's wisdom and direction in order to come together as a Church. This stemmed from an idea of some of the leadership of Broad Haven Baptist Church.

In May 2008, the group, who were now known as 'Y Groesfan' (which means 'the meeting point', or 'crossroads'), covenanted together at Whitesands Bay to form a community of disciples. They were joined by a number of people from established local churches as well as Broad Haven Baptist Church.

For many of those who are involved in Y Groesfan, this has meant moving to St Davids from different places and backgrounds. We've been putting down roots in our new home, listening to God to hear his direction for our lives here, and learning to grow together as a Church.

Everyone who is a part of Y Groesfan is encouraged to find ways to support the existing churches and chapels of St Davids.

We also believe that praying for our City is the most powerful and effective thing we can do here:

'Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you ... and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.'

Our prayer is that God will be glorified and more people will come to know how good he is.
